How to transfer a Facebook page ownership?

If you want to transfer your page ownership in Facebook Business Suite, please follow these steps:

  1. Access Business Settings
    • Open Facebook Business Suite.
    • Click on the Business Settings option (gear icon) on the left-hand side.
  2. Go to Accounts
    • In Business Settings, click on the Accounts section on the left side, and then select Pages from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select the Page
    • In the Pages section, find and click on the Page you want to transfer ownership of.
  4. Assign New Ownership
    • In the Page’s settings, click Assign Partner or Assign Assets to assign the Page to another business or individual. You can add the email or business ID of the new owner.
  5. Transfer Ownership via Admin Role
    • If you want to transfer ownership to an individual, go to the People tab and add the person as an Admin.Once the person accepts the role, they will have full control over the Page, and you can remove yourself if desired.

Important Notes:

  • True ownership transfer happens through assigning the Page to another business or partner, not just admin role changes.
  • You must have full admin access to transfer ownership or change admin roles.
  • Facebook doesn’t explicitly allow transferring ownership directly but assigning full admin rights to another individual or business gives them control.
